As per the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Brigadier A.S Hewawitharana, 572 and 573 Brigades conducted a programme for distribution of chicks for needy families in the area of responsibility Sunday (21) in order to uplift their economic standards.
160 chicks were distributed among 16 families of Visuamadu West and Piramanthalaru Grama Niladhari Divisions. 100 chicks and 10 chicken coop were distributed among 10 families of Paranthan, Puliyanpokkanai and Mawadiamman Grama Niladhari Division in 573 Brigade area of responsibility.
This programme was conducted under the patronage of ‘Heart Beat’ Foundation.
