Troops at SF-MLT Educated on Vocational Training Prior to Retirement

An awareness programme on ‘Vocational Training’ for Army personnel was held at the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) auditorium on Friday (24).

The awareness programme has been designed on the instructions of the Commander of the Army in order to educate Army personnel on the importance of receiving Vocational Training, prior to their retirement from the active service.

The awareness programme was organized at the SFHQ- MLT premises under the close supervision of Major General Dampath Fernando, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT). 60 Officers and 260 Other Ranks listened to the lecture.

Lieutenant Colonel B.D Sashika Perera, Commanding Officer, Army Vocational Training School at Kalaoya and Mr. Chaminda Wijedasa, Training Officer, Vocational Training Centre, Anuradapura conducted those awareness lectures.
