Troops of the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) Alawwa participated in a two-day pilgrimage to Kataragama from 29 to 30 May 2024. The event, conducted under the guidance of Brigadier M.G.A.N.B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, Commandant of RVAPL, aimed to foster inter-personal relationships, cohesiveness, team building, organizational skills, motivation and reduce work-related stress.
The event included a religious ceremony, a flag blessing ceremony featuring a colourful procession, and a Dhamma sermon delivered by Ven. Paliyagoda Dewananda Thero of the Kirivehera temple. These activities were conducted to transfer merits to fallen war heroes, including those who died while serving in the RVAPL, invoke blessings on the RVAPL flag, Board of Management members, and civil employees.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
