Troops Repaint School Building in Matara within Two Days

3 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops under the 613 Infantry Brigade of the 61 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - West demonstrating their commitment to serving the community provided technical assistance to carry out minor repair works at Nilwala Kanishta Vidyalaya, Matara during 20-21 July 2023 at the request of school authorities.

1 Officer and 10 Other Ranks undertook the task of painting badly discoloured three-story school building and replacing broken and worn out Asbestos sheets on the roof. The task was completed to the satisfaction of the Principal of the school. This community project was totally monitored by the Commanding officer of 3 Gemunu Watch following guidelines given by the Commander, 613 Infantry Brigade and the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division.
