Troops Put Up New Pre-School Building Plus House for Homeless Elderly

Troops of the 68 Division and 682 Brigade serving the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) recently erected a pre-school building at Sudandeerpuram and a new house for an elderly couple.  

Major General K.J. WIjethilake, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, as the Chief Guest, opened the new school building recently during a simple ceremony.  Troops of 5th Battalion Sri Lanka Armoured Corps contributed to the project donating 30 chairs and 30 desks for use of this pre-school.

Meanwhile, 18th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment soldiers handed over the keys of a newly constructed house to an underprivileged couple, both of who are septuagenarians, but without any place for dwelling.  Mrs A. Lakshmi, the elderly woman is blind and needs guidance.
