Troops of the 12 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Central, together with Tanamalwila Police officers raided an illegal cannabis (Ganja) cultivation in Unagahakanda area in Tanamalwila on Friday (15 Dec) following intelligence received by the troops.
The illegal crop cultivation covered about 1.5 acres of land with 4273 cannabis saplings. All the saplings were destroyed by the Thanamalwila Police Officers in front of the troops. Police investigations are on.
