Troops of the 621 Brigade and 9 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry serving the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) recently planted more than 80 saplings of Teak, Mahogany, Kaya, Jak, Breadfruit, etc along the roadside at Sampathnuwara entrance near the Ranaviru Piyasa village on Saturday (15).
National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) office at Mullaittivu provided those tree saplings to the troops at the request of the SFHQ-W. On the day of the planting, NHDA officials, Civil Affairs Officers and a gathering of voluntary workers were present at the location.
