Troops Plant 'Kumbuk' Saplings along Roadsides

233 Brigade troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ - E), determined to join the ongoing environment-friendly green drive under the 'Thuru Mithuru Nawaratak 'concept of the Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, took steps to launch a tree-planting campaign in the general road area of Kayankerni on Friday (03).

233 Brigade in coordination with 6 Gajaba Regiment (6 GR) troops provided Kumbuk saplings for the project under the supervision of Colonel Wasantha Hewage Commander - 233 Brigade on the directions of the Commander Security Forces - East.

During the programme, 100 Kumbuk saplings were planted on both sides of the A15 main road with the participation of troops.
