A mammoth ‘Dengue’ prevention community work, joined by 112 Brigade troops of the 11 Division of the Security Force HQ - Central and 10 more government sector agencies with their volunteers got underway in the Badulla district secretariat surroundings on Tuesday (16).
In addition to the troops, volunteers of the Governor’s Office, Municipal Council, Multi-Functional Development members, Policemen in Badulla Police station, Special Task Force members and members of the Fire Brigade at Badulla joined hands with the troops to conduct the cleaning programme.
This project was divided among Grama Niladhari Divisions in the area badly affected by recent floods.
