A large gathering of Hindu devotees, took part in a specially organized ‘Om Namah Shivaya Pada Yathra’ in Jaffna on Friday (24).
The walk began from Kankesanthurai Vannai Sivam Temple to Naguleshwaran Temple in Keeramalai has been organized by International Hindu Priests’ organization.
Serving troops of the 513 Brigade under Security Force Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J) gave their support for the success of the programme.
Troops cleaned up and washed the main road between Inuwil and Chunnakam as a tribute to the event which was carrying the Shivalinga as per Hindu traditions. Soldiers too joined in the offer of flowers, fruits and incense to Load Shiva.
