Troops in Jaffna Refresh Knowledge on Logistics

A symposium on logistics, themed ‘Paradigm Shift in Military Logistics in Jaffna Peninsula’ got underway during 26 - 27 April at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on an initiative taken by Major General Sujeewa Senerath Yapa, Commander, SF-J with the objective of alerting Army personnel to changing challenges, adaptation to creative and innovative techniques, maximization of available resources and resolution of existing gaps.

Accordingly, all Colonels Administration and Quartering, Majors Admin and Quartering, Battalion 2nd in Commands, Quarter Masters and Regimental Quartermasters in the peninsula attended the symposium where all relevant matters were taken up for discussion.

Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara, Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineers lectured on the importance of maintaining an effective logistic network and effectiveness of duty roles.
