4 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 52 Infantry Division and 521 Infantry Brigade troops launched a donation programme at Jaffna, Puloly (East) Government Tamil Mixed School in Point Pedro on 16 December 2023 with patronage received from the Component Section at Colombo Harbour Limited Company at Army request.
Those children received gift packs consisted of exercise books, stationery items, school bags, shoe pairs and other essentials, sufficient for the next education year.
Other than that, the donors were thoughtful to repair and handover the children’s park of the school with a large quantity of sports items and cleaning equipment to the school.
The team headed by Mr H.M Mendis and workshop Engineer Mr M. A Munasingha from Colombo Harbor Public Limited Company who attended the distribution and provided entertainment with their members.
