Troops of 19 Gemunu Watch (GW) and 5 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under command to the 593 Brigade of the 59 Division under the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu during 13-14 November by responding to a requests made by the chief incumbent of the temple, assisted the conduct of the annual ‘Katina Cheevara’ ceremony at Kokkilai Sri Sambodhi Viharaya.
Troops prior to the main ceremony conducted a ‘Shramadana’ and cleaned the entire premises and donated essential offerings for conduct of the annual ceremony after the requirements were projected by the incumbent.
Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander Security Force - Wanni and a few senior officers were also participated in the event.
