A total of 500 dry ration packs, inclusive of rice, dhal and other essentials, provided by Sunshine Consuming Lanka Ltd (Watawala Tea) as a humanitarian gesture were distributed among 500 selected needy families at Weheratenna and Horowpothana areas on Monday (12) in coordination with the Army.
Major General Hemantha Bandara, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni graced the distribution ceremonies as the Chief Guest.
Troops of 11 Gemunu Watch (GW) and 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) on the instructions of the Commander, 62 Division, Brigadier Upali Gunasekera under the supervision of the Commander 623 Brigade, Brigadier Prabath Kodituwakku and Commanding Officers, 11 GW and 5 (V) GR organized the arrangements for distribution.
