Troops Find Heaps of T-56 &;amp; MPMG Ammo

WANNI: CONTINUOUS search and clear operations in the general areas of MUNDIMURIPPU, KUMARANKULAM, MULLAITTIVU, PUTHUKUDIYIRUPPU, KAPPUKULAM, SUGANDIPURAM and VISUAMADU conducted by the troops on Tuesday (22) recovered sixteen hand grenades, two T-56 weapons, three hundred and sixty electric detonators, four 12.7 ammunition boxes, two I-com sets, eight thousand and four hundred rounds of FNC ammunition, one grenade launcher, thirteen 60 mm mortar bombs, three 60 mm mortar fuses, one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG), seven electric mines, thirteen thousand seven hundred and seven rounds of Multi Propose Machine Gun (MPMG) ammunition, fifty Anti Personnel (AP) mines, four detonator codes each with length of 2 m, two claymore mines, one speaker filled with explosives, 8 kg of C-4 explosives, seven coconut shells filled with C-4 explosives, one CDMA telephone, fourteen Arul bombs, five Bangalore torpedoes, thee I-com set battery packs, three I-com battery boxes, thirty nine AP mine fuses, twenty six thousand two hundred and fifty rounds of T-56 ammunition, ten thousand and six hundred rounds of .22 ammunition, a few tents of 14 ft x 15 ft, fourteen Bangalore torpedo fuses, three booby traps made using 81 mm mortar bombs, three 81 mm mortar bomb fuses and three antennas with a cable. 

     Meanwhile, troops in the East conducted search and clear operations the same day (22) and recovered one hand grenade, one T-56 weapon, two oxygen tubes, two codes, two oxygen cylinders, two swimming kits, one basket and one bracket from the general areas of KANANODE and YAKGODA in YALA.
