Troops with Farmers Clean Up Kalpe Tank Bund

Troops together with farmers in the area cleaned the Kalpe Tank bund of 1300 m long in Horowpathana which provides water for 400 acres of paddy fields and facilitates 120 farming families during the Maha season.

5 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops of the 623 Brigade under the 62 Division as per instructions of Brigadier Rohan Medagoda, Commander, 623 Brigade carried out the cleaning project, together with 35 farmers completed the task under the supervision of Major Dammika Herath, Commanding Officer, 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment.
