Troops Donate Dry Rations to Jaffna Flood Victims

4 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops under the 523 Brigade of the 52 Division HQ rose to the occasion and immediately organized a donation of dry ration packets to 23 low income families in flood-affected Magalankerni in Kovilakkandi GN Division area on Saturday (28) after they were temporarily evacuated.

Each pack contained rice, sprats, dhal, onions, milk powder, spices, potatoes, etc and they were badly affected due to both torrential rains and the ongoing Corona pandemic.

The relief programme was closely supervised by the General Officer Commanding, 52 Division, Major General Kithsiri Liyanage after visiting the 4 VIR camp in the affected area.
