Troops of the 23 Infantry Division carried out a community project aimed at providing essential school supplies to students of Susirigama Primary School. The event took place on 29 May 2024, at the Cultural Centre in Welikanda.
The event carried out under the supervision of Colonel S.N Wijesinghe USP IG, the Commander of the 233 Infantry Brigade and Major General S.A Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander of Security Forces -East graced the occasion as the chief guest.
During the event, 134 students from Susirigama Primary School received school exercise book packs, thanks to the patronage of Dr. Thiyagarajah Thawanesan and Dr. Selvaraj Giritharan, in collaboration with the "ABAYAM" Foundation.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, teachers, parents, and school students participated in the event.
