Troops of the 652 Brigade and troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the 65 Division as per directions of the Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding launched a project to distribute dry ration parcels among needy families in the general area of Thunukkai on Monday (31).
Aware of the difficulties faced by civilians during COVID-19 travel restrictions, 652 Brigade and troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry using their own money organized those relief packets.
The Commander, 652 Brigade, Brigadier Udaya Herath, Commanding Officer 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Civil Affairs Officer 652 Infantry Brigade and troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry participated in the distribution programme.
