Troops of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry carried out a disinfection project on two towns, Mulankavil and Nachikuda and conducted COVID-19 awareness programmes in liaison with the Mulankavil Police station, Public Health Inspectors and Pradeshiya Saba at Poonagary on 24 May 2021.
The programme was conducted on the instructions and supervision of the General Officer Commanding 65 Division Major General Tikiri Dissanayaka, and Commander 651 Brigade Brigadier Wasantha Bandara.
