Following coordination, made by the Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops, a total of 200 dry ration packets, each worth about Rs 3000/= were distributed among low-income families residing in Namalpura, Kalyanipura, Nawa Gajabapura and Nikawewa on Thursday (28).
Mrs W.S.Y.N Samaraweera, a donor from the South at the request of the 621 Brigade Commander sponsored the stock. With the guidelines given by the Security Force HQ-Wanni and the 62 Division HQ, 621 Brigade troops with the assistance of respective state officials and others selected those beneficiaries.
