In line with the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, civilians in the Mannar district conducted a beach cleaning programme across 24 coastal areas on 23 February 2025.
Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, and the directions of Major General A.M.C.P Wijayarathne RWP RSP nps psc, General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division, the troops of the 54 Infantry Division extended their support to conduct this programme.
Meanwhile, civilians in the Mullaitivu district conducted a similar programme at Mullaitivu beach on the same day, with support from the troops of the 591 Infantry Brigade.
Additionally, on 24 February 2025, a school cleaning programme was conducted at Kumaraswami Primary School, Palinagar, with the assistance of the 10th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
