Troops Clear Fallen Trees to Restore Transportation in Wanni

Under the guidance of Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Force (Wanni), and the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, troops of the 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) and the 4 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) promptly responded to clear road obstructions caused by fallen trees at two locations on 28 November 2024.

Under the supervision of the Commander, 211 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 5 (V) GR, together with the Civil Security Department (CSD), efficiently removed a tree blocking at Wilewewa road at Nanumillewa Junction.

Simultaneously, under the supervision of the Commander, 212 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 4 SLNG cleared the Thalawa-Eppawala Ihalawewa road at Bogollegama, ensuring uninterrupted transportation for residents.
