Troops of 9 SLA Complete Battalion Training Course

The fourth stage of the Battalion Training Course 2024 concluded on 6 September 2024 at the Battalion Training School at Security Forces Headquarters- East. The course was commenced on 22 July 2024 with the participation of 9 Officers and 231 Other Ranks from the 9 Field Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA).

The closing ceremony was graced by Major General W.P. Kariyawasam, General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks. During the Certificates Awarding Ceremony trophies were presented to the following Officer and Other Ranks:

All-Round Best Student - Captain H.M.L.S. Karunarathne

Best Shooter - Bombardier H.M.I.S. Senevirathne

Best Physical Fitness - Gunner R.D.D. Ranasinghe

Best Battery - 92 Battery

Best Section - 1st Section, 1st Platoon, Headquarters Battery
