The troops of the 7th Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) completed their Battalion Training Course at the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni Battalion Training School in Galkulama. The course commenced on 17 January 2024 and concluded on 5 March 2024. Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Eleven Officers and 317 Other Ranks of the 7 SLAC participated in the course. The course curriculum was designed to refresh and refine the participants' knowledge on various military subjects. The following Officers and Other Ranks were awarded special recognition for their achievements:
- Best Student: Major P.A.I.S. Siriwardana
- Best Shooter and Best Section Commander: Corporal D.M.L.S. Bandara
- Best in Physical: Trooper D.I.M. Kapuwela
