Troops of 7 Sri Lanka Artillery constructed a new house for a needy family in Kaduruwela. Troops of 7 SLA rendered their fullest support with technical expertise to complete the project within three months. Necessary funds were contributed by philanthropists. Making use of locally available resources, the Commanding Officer 7 SLA, Lieutenant Colonel R.N.C.Y Ramanayake psc IG, supervised the construction process ensuring proper execution and timely completion.
The Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc ceremonially handed over the key to beneficiary on 28 May 2024 at an auspicious time amidst “Pirith Chanting” by venerable maha sanga. After the customary proceedings, the family was donated essential items, including food and household goods.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, respective government authorities, donors and local residents attended the event.
