Troops of 611 Infantry Brigade Douse a Fire in Waulpane Aloe Forest Reserve

A group of two Officers and twenty Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Base Workshop, Udawalawa, promptly acted to douse a fire that broke out in the Waulpane Forest Reserve in the Embilipitiya on 12 March 2024.

Responding to a request made by the Disaster Management Centre, Ratnapura, troops were deployed to extinguish fire under the supervision of Brigadier H.D.L.S Perera RWP RSP, the Brigade Commander of the 611 Infantry Brigade.
