In celebration of World Children’s Day on 01 October 2024, the 6 Sri Lanka Artillery and the 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, under the guidance of Brigadier R.R de S Dharmawickrema RSP, Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade, organized a lunch and donated stationery items to 40 children at Vihara Maha Devi Preschool, Nittambuwa, and 24 children at Isuru Children's Home, Siyambalape.
A special musical program was also organized, bringing joy and entertainment to the children. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
