The troops of 6 Gajaba Regiment (GR) constructed a new house for a needy family at Labunoruwa, Maradankadawala.
Major General A.H.L.G. Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander, Security Forces (West), graced the event as the Chief Guest and handed over the house keys of the newly constructed house to the family, amidst religious observances and the blessings of the Maha Sangha on 10 December 2024.
This project was carried out under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division and the Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade.
The generous financial contributions and material support for this project were provided by local donors. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, the Principal of Labunoruwa Central College, Government Officials, donors, and family members of the beneficiary were also present at the event.
