Under the guidance of Major General B.G.S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, the troops of 55 Infantry Division constructed a ‘Children’s Park’ to provide a space for joy and adventure for children in the Kilinochchi area.
The initiative, conducted in conjunction with the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ programme under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, was officially inaugurated during a brief ceremony on 05 February 2025.
Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Adding further significance to the event, school accessories were distributed to 25 preschool children.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Government Officials, teachers, children, and parents participated in the event.
