Troops of 55 Infantry Division and 552 Infantry Brigade Clean Pallikudah Beach

Under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), the troops of the 55 Infantry Division and 552 Infantry Brigade conducted a beach cleaning programme at Pallikudah Beach, Poonaryn on 13th January 2025. The initiative was part of the project titled "Revitalizing Beachfronts for Sustainability and Environment," in line with the government’s theme, Beautiful Island and Smiling People.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civilians, worked tirelessly to remove plastic waste, debris, and other pollutants, ensuring a cleaner and safer environment for marine life and visitors.
