Troops of 241 Infantry Brigade Conduct a Beach Cleaning Programme

The troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade conducted a beach cleaning programme on 10 May 2025 at Thambatta Beach in Akkaraipattu, in collaboration with the Alayadiwembu Divisional Secretariat and the Alayadiwembu Pradeshiya Sabha.

The initiative was carried out under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, in line with the 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and public hygiene.

During the cleaning programme, nine concrete waste containers were installed to facilitate the systematic disposal of the large volume of garbage collected daily.
