Troops of 142 Infantry Brigade Clear Fallen Trees and Provide Relief in Egodagama and Puwakpitiya

The troops of 142 Infantry Brigade undertook an operation to remove fallen trees in Egodagama and Puwakpitiya on 05 June 2024, following a request by the Ceylon Electricity Board to restore the electricity supply in the area. This task was carried out under the guidance of the Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade, with the participation of 02 Officers and 20 Other Ranks. Their prompt and efficient action successfully cleared the debris caused by adverse weather conditions.

In addition to this effort, the troops also extended relief to a family in Egodagama, Puwakpitiya, whose house was severely damaged by the ongoing floods. The soldiers provided immediate assistance to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected family.
