Under the guidance of the Commander of 562 Infantry Brigade and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 12 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), the troops of 12 VIR rescued a man who had been swept away by powerful currents near the spill bund of the Kalmadu Reservoir in Vavuniya, North Central Province on 28 November 2024.
