Troops of the 12 Infantry Division removed a tree at Kudabolana Panchaseeha School in Ambalanthota on 10 June 2024 since the tree posed a significant danger to the safety of the school children.
The task, was conducted under the guidance of Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division as per the request made by the school.
The prompt and efficient action of the troops prevented potential risks to the school environment ensuring the safety of the 750 students. As a result, school activities were able to resume without disruption following the completion of the task.
