Troops of the 12 Infantry Division removed a hazardous tree that posed a significant threat to the school children at Wellassa National School in Bibile on 28 June 2024, under the direction of the General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division, in response to a request from the Divisional Secretary of Bibile.
The swift and efficient action by the troops ensured the safety of students without disruption to school activities. The principal, teachers, and parents expressed deep appreciation for the Army's timely initiative.
