Troops of the 10 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), under the guidance of Major General P.R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, carried out the renovation of a bridge in Point Pedro-Vettalaikerni road on 29 November 2024.
The project, supervised by the Commander of 522 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 10 (V) VIR, focused on strengthening the basement bund and pathway of the bridge connecting Pudukkadu to Maradankeini. Despite heavy rains, troops worked tirelessly, laying 400 sandbags to strengthen the structure and ensure accessibility for the local community.
