A total of 106 passengers, including Army, Navy and Air Force personnel attending training courses in Pakistan were flown back to Colombo from Lahore airport last evening (21) on a directive given by HE the President.
After completion of their courses, those servicemen have remained in Pakistan for more than a month due to prevailing circumstances.
24 out of the total 106 were students from Sri Lanka who had gone there for higher studies.
Arrangements were in place at the same time to refer all of them to Quarantine Centres upon their return for necessary quarantine process at Punani and Waikkal Dolphin Hotel.
