Tri-Service Trainee Officers at DSCSC Visits India on Study Tour


A military delegation of trainee officers at Sapugaskanda Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) are currently visiting India on a 10-day long study tour as an integral part of their training curriculum.

The delegation to India for training is comprised of two foreign trainees.

Presently four such DSCSC trainee officer military delegations, representing tri-services of Sri Lanka are on study tours to Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia in addition to India, completing an important segment on their curricula at Sapugaskanda DSCSC.

During their stay in India, those visiting trainee officers are scheduled to call at military establishments and training schools in New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Bombay, Coimbatore, Mysore, Bangalore, Wellington and a few other places of interest.

The Sri Lankan team was warmly received by Indian military authorities on arrival at DSCSC in Wellington where they received a comprehensive knowledge on its training modules, roles and tasks and international training programmes.

The DSCSC at Sapugaskanda, one of the most reputed training institutes, for tri-service personnel and foreign military trainees is attached to the University of Kelaniya and awards the Passed Staff College (PSC) and Masters degree in defence studies.
