Tri Service Officers Attend Preliminary Discussions on Forthcoming 44th World Parachute Competition

A preliminary discussion to better coordinate and participate in the forthcoming 44th World Parachute Competition, to be inaugurated in Doha, Qatar on 11 November 2021 got underway at the Security Force HQ-West in Panagoda on Tuesday (10) with the participation of tri service senior officers.

The meeting, chaired by Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, Chairman, Army Parachute Committee focused on selection of the best of the best, start of training sessions, assessment of requirements, tri service selections, expenditure, COVID-19 updates and precautions, etc.

Commander D.H.A Herath, Chairman, Navy Parachute committee, Air Commander, C. Wickramarathne, Chairman, Air Force Parachute Committee, Wing Commander, R. M.S. N Ritigala, Secretary to Army Parachute Committee, Colonel S. P Wickramasekara, Secretary to Air Force Parachute Committee (through Zoom), Colonel W.M.K.B.K Weerasekara, Vice Chairman, Army Parachute Committee were among those who contributed to the discussion.
