Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Society, jointly with the National Christian Council recently distributed plants, cash donations and other incentives among selected people in the Halambawrewa village, following coordination done by the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Each family received plant saplings to the value of Rs 6000/= in addition to cash donations given to two persons for improvement of their groceries. Similarly, another tailor shop run by a poor villager was given a cash incentive of Rs 4000/= enabling him to improve his business further.
General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, senior officers and donors were associated with the event.
