On the request made by the Divisional Secretary, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division, Major General C.S. Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, troops of the Division removed a tree on 13 June 2024. The operation targeted a tree located along Ambalanthota, Beragama, which posed a potential danger to commuters.
