The Forward Maintenance Area - East (FMA-East) HQ on account of its 27th anniversary planted 100 mango saplings inside the Mango Farm compound of the camp and cleaned the general roadside areas along Minneriya tank bund and Colombo - Polonnaruwa main road Tuesday (14) morning as part of their community services.

The project that coincided with the ‘Thuru Mithuru - Nawa Ratak’ drive, proposed by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army was launched on the directions of Major General T.M Abeyrathne, Commander, FMA-E with the blessings of the Commander, SF-East. Several religious programmes also preceded the anniversary day.

Officers and Other Ranks joined hands to plant those 100 mango saplings. Those religious programmes invoked blessings on the FMA's anniversary.
