Traditional Katina Pooja Pinkama Held at Sri Sambodhi Viharaya, Kokilai, Mullaitivu

Under the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 59 Infantry Division, and Brigadier M.J Ubeysekera RSP psc, the Commander of the 591 Infantry Brigade, the traditional Katina Pooja Ceremony at Sri Sambodhi Viharaya was conducted in Mullaitivu on 09 and 10 November 2024.

Venerable Thissapura Gunarathana Thero conducted this religious ceremony. Troops of the 591 Infantry Brigade, the 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment, and the 10 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment provided assistance in organizing the annual Katina Pooja Pinkama.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and approximately 200 devotees participated in the event.
