Following generosity offered by one Mr Prasad Lokubalasooriya, past pupils of Royal College, Colombo and Sri Jayawardenepura Campus, 14 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops of the 621 Brigade donated dry ration packs, each worth about Rs 5500/= were distributed among 10 temples, situated in the 62l Brigade area in Welioya on Monday (19).
The arrangement was organized on the directions of Major General Upali Gunasekara, GOC, 62 Division by 621 Brigade troops.
Commander, 621 Brigade, Brigadier Keerthi Perakum, Civil Affairs Officers, Commanding Officer of 14 SLLI and Other Ranks attended the distribution programme.
