Parents, relatives or family members of 46 Tamil recruits, still under training at 6 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (6 SLASC) in Mullaittivu on Wednesday (8) arrived at the 6 SLASC Headquarters in order to have a social get-together.
The project, organized on the directions of Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), was organized by those recruits themselves who presented a variety show displaying their artistic skills before the gathering of invitees and onlookers.
Brigadier N.A.P.C Napagoda, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division was the Chief Guest at the event representing the SFHQ-MLT Commander.
This meet, awarded the rare opportunity for the Tamil recruits to meet their parents and relatives after some time while they are still under training. The programme lasted a few hours into the evening and the 6 SLASC provided refreshments and transport to those family members.
