Tailor–Made United Nations Military Observers Course and Aero Medical Evacuation Team Pre-Deployment Training Course Successfully Conclude

The Tailor–Made United Nations Military Observers Course and Aero Medical Evacuation Team Pre-Deployment Training Course was successfully concluded on 27th March 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The course was commenced on 10th March 2025 with the participation of 17 Officers (07 Sri Lanka Navy Officers, 04 Sri Lanka Air Force Officers, and 06 Sri Lanka Air Force NCOs) with the aim to enhance the basic knowledge on the practical and theoretical aspects of the United Nations and special tasks that are assigned to them according to the mandate.

The course curriculum consisted of many important aspects such as Introduction to UN Peacekeeping, Situational Training, International Humanitarian Law (IHL) & Human Rights (HR), Field Training Exercise (FTX) and etc.

Major General M.K.L.A. De Silva RSP USP nps psc, the Commandant of IPSOTSL, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the closing remarks after awarding certificates to the participants.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Instructors of the IPSOTSL also participated in the event.
