Five Swiss Parliamentarians, who are currently in Sri Lanka on a fact-finding visit toured the Jaffna peninsula last weekend and met the Commander, Security Forces Jaffna Major General M. D. S Chandrapala in order to get an update on the security situation in the peninsula.
During their meet on Saturday (14) at Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna, these visiting Parliamentarians Ms Jacqueline Fehr, Valerie Garbani, Pia Hollenstein, Dick F. Marty and Anne-Catherine Mennetroy-Savary received a briefing from the Security Forces Commander in Jaffna on steps and measures that have been adopted to maintain law and order and facilitate free passage of civilians in the peninsula.
