Swiss Ambassador Calls on the Army Commander

HE Hanspeter Mock, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland for Sri Lanka and the Maldives paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Wednesday (5) at the Army Headquarters, Colombo.

The cordial meet that ensued after he was welcomed by Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Military Secretary at the entrance to the Commander’s Secretariat touched on matters of mutual interest as it was his first visit to the Army Headquarters upon his assumption of office in Sri Lanka.

Towards the end of the friendly meeting, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake presented a memento to the envoy as a token of goodwill and understanding.
