Kids learning in the Sugandhipuram colony Pre School on Christmas day (25) received free packs of school books and accessories, thanks to the coordination of the 681 Brigade of the 68 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu.
In response to a request of Major General Kirthi Bandara, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division, the donor, Mr W.M.C.U Pathberiya volunteered to sponsor the cost of those educational aids considering economic hardships of those families.
The donation programme was organized by 9 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops at the school premises with the help of teachers and parents.
Brigadier Nalin Hettiarchchi, 681 Brigade Commander, Major W.C.D.D Kumara, Commanding Officer 9 Sri Lanka National Guard, Major H M R Henninayake, Commanding Officer 6 Gemunu Watch and several officers joined the distribution programme.
